If the Beatles could rap... would it have sounded like this?

I recorded this track a couple years ago for fun, as part of a remixes project that me and Mr Thing were working on. I chopped this up myself, added some claps and finger clicks then jumped in the booth.

For obvious reasons, this was never going to get a proper release! The verses ended up going on the Grown Man Business album that me and Mr Thing did.

Now seemed like as good a time as any to let people hear it. Enjoy!

Me and Mr Thing have done a mixtape called "Jack The World" Look out for it, it's coming soon ...

Essa London, UK

It's not your typical rap sheet. Born in a leafy suburb, educated at a prestigious boarding school and qualified as a city lawyer. But somewhere along the way (under former name Yungun) Essa became a key figure in UK hip-hop's "golden era" with shameless party joints, cryptic love songs, bilingual Spanglish wordplay and soul-searching escapism, earning nods from the likes of Nas and Mark Ronson. ... more
